Qualifications

• Registered EEG Technician preferred.
• ,
• One to two years of experience as an EEG Technician or in health care preferred.
• Must be able to properly apply electrodes and troubleshoot equipment.
• Ability to elicit full patient cooperation during tests.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and learn new equipment.
• Ability to relate to coworkers, nurses and physicians professionally.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and trust.
• Knowledge of infection control practices and universal precautions.
• BLS training according to AHA guidelines.
• Ability to move equipment and transport patients.
• Type 35–40 words per minute and perform clerical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform neurophysiological tests on neonate, pediatric and adult patients.

• Apply electrodes and operate EEG equipment.
