Mercy Health Neurodiagnostic team in Ohio seeks an experienced technician to perform EEG/evoked potential procedures across ages using advanced instruments and independent clinical judgment.

You will prepare testing environments, record awake/asleep EEGs, and manage long-term monitoring, data acquisition, and patient care. Requires high school or equivalent, 2 years EEG experience (or 5 years with training), ABRET/BRPT or equivalent, and CPR/BLS.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; Associates degree preferred.
• 2 years clinical EEG/evoked potential or related experience; or 5 years plus training.
• Graduate of an accredited ElectroNeurodiagnostics or Neurophysiology program.
• Registration in EEG/evoked potentials/PSG (ABRET/BRPT or equivalent).
• BLS CPR certification.

Responsabilités

• Communicate effectively in diverse situations, in writing and verbally.
• Maintain knowledge for safe work environment and adhere to safety policies.
• Participate in continuing education to stay current with developments.
• Prepare testing environment for patient comfort and safety.
• Prepare and perform EEG testing procedures ( awake, asleep, long-term monitoring, etc.).
• Obtain medical history and adjust instrumentation accordingly.
• Observe, annotate, and analyze technical changes during recordings.
• Administer sedation per physician orders; assist with invasive lead placement.
• Schedule and manage patient appointments and transcription/registration.
