Job Description Summary

1. EEG Tech I - The Non-Registered Electroencephalography (EEG) Technician I reports to the EEG Coordinator. Under direct supervision, records neurophysiologic potentials for diagnosing nervous system diseases. Requires an associate or bachelor’s degree or active student in a CAAHEP accredited EEG program. Must be board eligible for EEG registry within two years. Certification in BLS required within 2 weeks of hire.
2. EEG Tech II - The Non-Registered EEG Technician II reports to the EEG Coordinator. Under indirect supervision, records neurophysiologic potentials. Requires graduation from a CAAHEP accredited END technology program, eligibility for National Board Certification, and obtaining EEG certification or CNIM within 2 years of employment. BLS certification required.
3. EEG Tech III - The Registered EEG Technologist III reports to the EEG Coordinator. Under general supervision, records neurophysiologic potentials. Requires graduation from a CAAHEP accredited END program, registration as an EEG Technician by ABRET, and one year of EEG Technician work experience. BLS certification required.
