Job summary

Geisinger Medical Center is seeking a regularly scheduled Neurodiagnostic Technologist to perform EEG procedures and assist in the Neurophysiology unit. The role includes training on less-than-fully-qualified tasks under direct supervision as needed, with emphasis on safety and accurate data collection.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and ABRET EEG certification, with preferred experience of at least two years in a related healthcare field.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; ABRET EEG certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform neurodiagnostic procedures as per facility policies.
• Train under supervision when competency is not yet achieved.
• Maintain correct electrode connections and patient safety.
• Identify and troubleshoot artifacts and equipment issues.
• Communicate with patients and healthcare staff about procedures.
