Job summary

Midland Independent School District in Midland, Texas seeks a Computer Technician to support district-wide instructional platforms, software integrations, and classroom technologies. You will manage digital applications, including ClassLink, Google Workspace, and the district website, and respond to staff ticket requests.

This non-exempt role reports to the Director of Technology Integration and requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and knowledge of Chrome OS, Windows,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Clear and valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of instructional hardware, such as Chromebooks and Windows.
• Ability to diagnose software conflicts, account sync issues, and hardware-to-software connectivity.
• Ability to diagnose technical issues, implement effective resolutions, and provide clear feedback on progress and outcomes.
• Strong communication skills for creating user documentation and video tutorials.
• Preferred proficiency in Classlink (SSO/Rostering), Google Admin Console, Active Directory, and/or website.

Responsibilities

• Manage, assign, and resolve technology incidents in the ticketing system and serve as the initial contact for troubleshooting.
• Communicate with staff at campuses and district offices to maintain technology support.
• Manage district apps, SSO integrations, and rostering within Classlink.
• Provide technical assistance to users of computers, instructional equipment, and software.
• Administer Google Admin Console and cross-reference data in Active Directory to resolve account issues.
• Maintain and update the Instructional Technology website for cohesive content across departments.
• Review and whitelist websites in GoGuardian and administer the Veracity Technology Management System for compliance.
