Job summary

Pearson is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support data-driven decisions across Product, Operations, and Tech teams in the Sacramento area. You will gather requirements, document processes, and develop dashboards and reports to enable product and operational improvements.

Collaboration with stakeholders and adherence to governance and data standards are key to success in this role.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Analytics, Education, Technology, or related field.
2–4 years in Business Analysis, Operations Analysis, Process Improvement, Product Support or related role.
Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Experience using Salesforce or similar enterprise applications.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Responsibilities

Participate in discovery to understand business problems, user needs, operational challenges, and strategic opportunities.
Document current-state and future-state business processes using structured analysis techniques.
Develop and maintain business requirements, process flows, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
Translate business needs into clear and actionable documentation for product, engineering, and operational teams.
Support governance, data governance, and compliance-related reviews and decisions.
Create reports, dashboards, and presentations communicating findings.
