Lamar State College Port Arthur is seeking a Software Development & Game Design Instructor to provide classroom and lab instruction across topics of ethical processes, quality, equipment, operations, and troubleshooting. Classes may be day, evening, or online, at on-campus or partner sites.

Reports to the Business and Industrial Technology Department. Responsibilities include advising, recruiting, tutoring, committee participation, and curriculum development aligned with college goals.

Formación

• Associate’s degree in a relevant field; teaching experience preferred.
• Five years of work experience in the field or teaching.
• Ability to work independently in the classroom.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsabilidades

• Provide quality instruction.
• Participate in college tasks, including advising, recruiting, and tutoring.
• Serve on departmental and college committees, perform community service, and pursue professional development.
• Develop and assess curriculum aligned with program, department and college goals.
• Attend faculty meetings.
• Maintain current knowledge in teaching areas and higher education trends.
• Respond to students, faculty and staff in a timely, professional manner.
• Occasional travel to campus and conference locations.
• Advisors for Skills USA Competition.
• Comply with campus policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
