Job summary

Lamar State College Port Arthur is seeking an Adjunct Business Administration Instructor to teach business courses and support curriculum in a flexible teaching environment. Classes may be held on-campus, via dual enrollment, or online, with daytime, evening, and hybrid options.

The instructor reports to the Business and Industrial Technology Department. Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in a qualifying field, plus independence in the classroom and strong

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a qualifying field with eighteen (18) graduate hours.
• Work independently in the classroom.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Possess great time management and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality instruction.
• Exhibit commitment and involvement in curriculum development and assessment per program goals.
• Attend faculty meetings.
• Maintain current knowledge in teaching areas and higher education trends.
• Respond to students, faculty and staff in a timely and professional manner.
• Comply with campus policies and procedures.
• Other related duties as assigned.
