Zusammenfassung

Educators for Excellence in Connecticut is seeking an expert Organizer to support campaign initiatives and coach educators to be effective campaign advocates. This is a 2-year term-limited role with 50% of time focused on strategic compensation campaigns.

The Organizer will create and drive grassroots opportunities, recruit and develop educator leaders, and advance campaigns through digital organizing, coalition engagement, and events across the state.

Qualifikationen

• At least 2 years professional experience in community organizing, advocacy, union organizing, electoral campaigns, or Pre-K-12 education.
• Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word; familiarity with Salesforce preferred.
• Willing to travel statewide in CT; regular evening/weekend work expected; home office within CT.

Aufgaben

• Field Organizing: conduct outreach to educators, plan phone banks, text banks, 1:1 meetings, school visits and house parties.
• Educate and mobilize members to take activist actions and recruit teacher leaders.
• Coordinate trainings, events, and actions; leverage multiple online platforms for engagement.
• Attend coalition meetings and meet with stakeholders to advance campaigns.
• Data & Administration: maintain contact information, track engagement, and complete administrative tasks.
