Job summary

Broward County Public Schools seeks a Technology Support Specialist I/II to ensure continuous availability of district-owned hardware, software, networks, and servers at Horizon Elementary in Sunrise, FL. You will provide technical support, train staff and students, and help maintain a secure digital learning environment.

Responsibilities include hardware/software installation, troubleshooting, inventory management, and collaboration with district tech staff.

Qualifications

High school diploma or satisfactory GED; or an earned associate degree.
Minimum 4 years of experience in supporting computer systems related to digital learning environments.

Responsibilities

Provide technical assistance, training and guidance to site-based staff and students for hardware and software problems.
Ensure the location has an effective, stable digital learning environment in collaboration with district tech support staff.
Support adherence to district network security standards.
Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software acquisitions.
Assist with installation of approved hardware and software, both standalone and networked.
Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs or upgrades to technology.
Maintain accurate inventory of all technology assets and systems.
