Job summary

The Public Schools of Northborough-Southborough is seeking an Educational Support Professional (ESP) to provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities under the supervision of the Student Support Services team. The ESP collaborates with general and special education staff to implement IEP goals and accommodations.

Starting immediately, the role requires an Associate’s degree or higher and involves duties outlined in IEPs, including data collection and progress reporting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s (or higher) degree; or passing a formal assessment measuring knowledge for assisting teachers in reading, writing, and mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specially designed instruction to students with disabilities as outlined in IEPs.
• Provide instruction in or out of the classroom in individual or small groups.
• Work with general education teachers to deliver accommodations and curriculum.
• Monitor student progress and report weekly to the SPS team.
• Participate in weekly data-review meetings and share concerns.
• Implement daily lessons under supervision for IEP goals.
• Assist with behavioral plans and data collection for IEP objectives.
• Prepare instructional materials with the team and maintain consistent daily schedules.
• Assist with duties such as toileting, transportation support, and recess as documented in IEPs.
