Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers is seeking an Educational Sign Language Interpreter to support Deaf/Hard of Hearing students and staff in an educational setting. The interpreter will facilitate communication across classrooms, assist with understanding lectures, and support reading, writing, and math proficiency by adapting signs and language to student needs.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Two years of professional work experience in sign language or interpreting in an educational setting.
• Colorado Department of Education Educational Interpreter Authorization preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and transliterate to enable Deaf/Hard of Hearing students to access lectures and instruction.
• Collaborate with educators to plan and adjust instruction.
• Monitor student progress and support IEP goals.
• Provide tutoring and reinforce concepts as needed.
• Adhere to RID Code of Professional Conduct and guidelines.
