Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Pass the GACE para assessment or have 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours with a C or better.
• Associate's Degree or higher accepted by GaPSC-accepted institution.
• Georgia PSC Paraprofessional Certificate obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in preparing educational materials for students.
• Work with students in small groups or one-on-one to reinforce objectives.
• Assist with daily routines: distribute/collect supplies, attendance, grading quizzes.
• Support in lunchroom, recess, hall-monitoring, and bus duties.
• Prepare and maintain bulletin boards and learning centers.
• Monitor library use and assist with instructional tasks.
• Utilize media/technology resources and equipment for instruction.
• Assist with inventory, processing new materials, displays, and media projects.
• Staff circulation desk and check materials in/out using Destiny.
• Direct student assistants and maintain organized media center.
