Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Active Occupational Therapist license issued by the Texas Advisory Board of Occupational Therapy (TABOT).
• CPR certification.
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate needs: Perform OT assessments to determine students’ needs and eligibility for services.
• Communicate findings to parents, educators, and stakeholders with clear recommendations.
• Develop interventions with the IEP team to promote participation, access to education, and skill development.
• Provide therapy: deliver direct services or supervise COTAs in implementing IEP goals.
• Monitor progress: maintain records and adjust interventions based on data.
• Support team: participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary discussions.
