Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Adapts language level to match the student's communication needs for optimum visual communication.
• Interprets or transliterates all language during classroom instruction to facilitate communication.
• Assists students who are deaf or hard of hearing in academic and non-academic activities.
• Maintains a daily notebook/log to report student progress on objectives and daily work.
• Participates in meetings (IEPs, parent/teacher) to convey information to families.
• Prepares for daily classroom lectures and activities to support clear interpretation.
