Job summary

Karbon HQ is seeking an Educational Content Developer to design and deliver self-paced learning experiences for accountants and bookkeepers, owning courses end to end from needs analysis to publish. You will also craft time-of-need content, job aids, and in-product guidance with AI-assisted storyboarding and research.

In this role you will collaborate with Product, Marketing and Customer Success to land new features, support adoption campaigns, and measure impact using learner data and usage

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design or educational content development with a portfolio.
• Ability to use AI as part of production workflow and provide a clear point of view on its acceleration and human edits.
• You work quickly and iteratively, prefer publishing a strong first version and improving it.
• Excellent written English and ability to translate complex subject matter for busy professionals.
• Willingness to become fluent in accounting/bookkeeping/tax workflows.
• Strong asynchronous communication and proactive progress updates.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop self-paced learning experiences across formats (e-learning, video, interactive modules, microlearning, guides).
• Build scenario-based content around customer personas mirroring real work weeks.
• Create time-of-need content and go-to-market education with cross-functional teams.
• Develop assessments and knowledge checks to measure comprehension and capability.
• Apply adult learning principles and company design guidelines with accessibility in mind.
• Own content quality review and take drafts to review-ready in 1–2 rounds.
• Support LMS administration and certification processes.
