Job summary

AZ State School for the Deaf and Blind seeks an ASL Interpreter/Educational Interpreter to provide classroom interpreting services and support students’ access to content across settings. The role involves collaboration with educators and IEP teams, ensuring accurate and culturally appropriate interpretation.

Requires EIPA 3.5 or RID/NAD CIs/CSL certifications, FBI/state background checks, and ongoing professional development. Travel may be required; pay range provided below.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: Prior experience as an Educational Interpreter.
• Minimum of twelve (12) hours of professional development annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpreting services in educational settings for deaf students.
• Collaborate with IEP team and classroom staff on communication access.
• Travel to interpret in various educational environments.
