Job summary

Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization (NSSEO) seeks a Technology Support Technician to ensure reliable computer systems, networks, and instructional tech across campuses. The role reports to the Technology Coordinator and is paid on Lane 1 of the district’s Technology Hiring Schedule ($17.92–$25.80 hourly).

This 12-month ESP tech position requires a high school diploma, basic networking knowledge, and proficiency in Windows, macOS, and iOS.

Qualifications

• Must have general knowledge of client/server design and networking concepts.
• Experience with Windows, macOS, and iOS in a school environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• CompTIA+ and Network+ certifications encouraged but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to students, faculty, and staff for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Diagnose and resolve problems, escalating when necessary.
• Perform regular maintenance on computer systems and peripherals.
• Assist in setup and maintenance of audiovisual equipment and instructional technology.
• Travel between programs to support users and equipment.
