Job summary

Albemarle County Public Schools is seeking a Technology Support Specialist to support computers, iPads, peripherals, and related equipment. The role focuses on software and network connectivity support to promote effective use of technology by students and staff.

The successful candidate will work across multiple sites within the Technology Department, applying strong communication and technical skills to resolve incidents and lead tech-related projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Windows 10, Mac and Apple iOS.
• A+ and other vendor certifications preferred.
• Excellent customer service across diverse user groups including students, staff, and administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for personal computers, iPads, peripherals, and related technology equipment.
• Provide software support and network connectivity assistance to promote effective technology use.
• Work with multiple school sites in a technology-rich environment.
• Coordinate with teachers and staff to prioritize projects and resolve incidents.
