Job summary

National Heritage Academies (NHA) seeks a proactive Talent Acquisition professional for in-person work at our Grand Rapids service center. You will source for open teacher positions, build pipelines, and engage with networks at career events to attract strong candidates.

Responsibilities include screening applicants, partnering with hiring managers, and promoting NHA as an employer of choice. Occasional travel (about 10%) will be required to attend events and university visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, HR, communications, business, or a related discipline preferred.
• 3+ years of sourcing/recruiting, sales, customer service, or applicant tracking systems preferred.
• Ability to build consultative relationships with candidates and teammates.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and emotionally intelligent.
• Tenacity, resilience, and a positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Capacity to handle confidential information with professionalism.
• Excellent organization, planning, and time management.
• Ability to balance and delegate competing priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Source for open teacher positions and potential openings.
• Build networks and pipelines of teacher candidates for prospective openings.
• Attend teacher networking events, career fairs (in-person or virtual), and other educational events to build a candidate pipeline.
• Utilize a wide range of sourcing tools to find and nurture teaching leads.
• Sell prospective candidates on NHA and the benefits of taking a job with NHA.
• Screen candidates for eligibility for school positions.
• Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers to retain and attract talent.
• Travel (10%) consists of attending school visits, networking, professional development, and university-level career events.
• Act as a brand ambassador and promote NHA as an employer of choice through career events, seminars, and day-to-day communications.
• Additional duties as assigned.
