Job summary

Pensacola State College seeks an Instructional Technologist to collaborate with faculty on technology-enhanced hybrid and online courses. You will align designs with Quality Matters standards, ensure ADA compliance, and promote active learning across modalities.

The role trains staff in LMS usage and instructional technologies, maintains a training resources repository, and supports the College’s distance learning infrastructure. Evening/weekend coverage may apply.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in instructional technology, instructional design, or related field required.
Master's degree in instructional technology, instructional design, or related field preferred.
Successful background checks (FDLE) required for employment.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with faculty to design, develop, deliver, and evaluate technology-enhanced hybrid and online courses.
Promote Quality Matters standards and ADA compliance in online course design.
Train and support faculty in teaching and learning technologies and LMS tools.
Administer and provide LMS support; maintain training resources repository.
Monitor ADA compliance and current policies; advise on accessibility best practices.
Evaluate new learning technologies for relevance and impact on outcomes.
Support evenings/weekends if needed; supervise Faculty Training Lab.
