Job summary

EDUCAUSE is seeking an Instructional Technology Specialist to support Distance Education technologies used for teaching and learning. The role involves direct user support, training development, and administration of LMS, online proctoring, accessibility, and media management.

You will collaborate with faculty, staff, and students, creating resources and marketing communications to promote educational initiatives, while tracking performance and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required at hire date.
• Experience in software support, technology training, customer service support, or relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and troubleshooting to instructional technology users via phone, tickets, email, and in-person.
• Maintain accurate records of requests, incidents, and resolutions using a ticketing system.
• Design and present instructional technology training; create and maintain SOPs, resources, media, and web pages.
• Develop marketing materials and communications to promote Distance Education initiatives.
• Track and resolve vendor and instructional technology performance issues for contract monitoring.
• Collect and analyze data to inform decisions and improvements.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and collaboration.
• Stay current with emerging technologies to inform decision-making.
• Assist supervision and training of support desk student technicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
