Job summary

EAB in Washington, D.C. is seeking an Associate for Research Discovery & Design to join its Research team. You will handle K-12 and higher education inquiries, synthesize findings, and deliver research-backed guidance tailored to client needs.

This role blends quick-turnaround and longer projects, uses AI-enabled tools, and operates in a hybrid model with weekly office presence. A strong emphasis on rigorous analysis and collaborative problem solving is core to the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with excellent academic record.
• Minimum of 3 months of work or internship experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Experience with at least two of: primary and secondary research; report writing; project management; business research.
• Willingness to travel 1-4 times per year.
• Commitment to a diverse, inclusive culture and belonging at EAB.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple processes and projects simultaneously, delivering excellent service and results on time
• Produce a high volume of accurate, high-quality research deliverables that synthesize evidence into clear conclusions, implications, and recommendations
• Leverage provided tools appropriately (e.g., Asana, Lightcast Analyst, ChatGPT, proprietary analytical programs) and use AI-enabled tools with independent judgment
• Investigate client inquiries using internal and external research sources and conduct primary research interviews
• Participate in team meetings and meetings with other EAB staff to best answer client questions and drive impact at client institutions
