Job summary

Vanir is a leader in PMCM and real estate development, serving public and private sector clients across multiple markets. The Project Manager will plan, coordinate, and direct project management activities from identification through closeout to meet owner needs, cost, and schedule.

Ideal candidates have at least five years of PM experience in education, with strong knowledge of contracts, scheduling, and documentation, plus proficiency with Prolog and Primavera and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent is required (Extensive relevant project management experience in place of education may be considered)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the Education Sector is required
• Knowledge of master planning, A/E solicitation, project development, design-phase management, construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, contracts and delivery methods is required
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with project-related systems such as Prolog and Primavera are required
• Proficiency with various document control systems, as well as new construction and modernization of K-12 schools is preferred
• Registration as an Architect or Professional Engineer is preferred
• Certified Construction Manager preferred

Responsibilities

• Primary contact for owner and partner entities for contract, design, systems, procedures and deliverables
• Develops project-specific procedures and documentation
• Coordinate with owner on design and construction contracts and related A/E systems
• Manage data, information, communications, and approvals between owner, architects, engineers, and other parties
• Represent owner in meetings and public forums
• Oversee project controls, cost, and performance activities and scheduling
• Lead project meetings and track statuses
• Coordinate and monitor activities of construction management staff and related entities
• Manage bid phase services as required
• Perform other duties as required
