Job summary

Mdsci is seeking a capable Overnight and Workshop Program Supervisor to lead daily operations, develop and evaluate programs, and empower staff and volunteers. Working with the education team, you will coordinate budgets, manage registrations, and ensure smooth museum programming for youth and public audiences.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in science, education, or a related field, with at least two years in informal education and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; experience may substitute for some education.
  • At least two years in an informal education setting, supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operation of overnight and workshop programming.
  • Interview and hire qualified staff and volunteers; oversee training and scheduling.
  • Develop program criteria; select topics and descriptions; engage partners in development.
  • Deliver programs to visiting groups; manage overnight events for smooth operation.
  • Cultivate partnerships and market programs to youth organizations, schools, and the public.
  • Provide support for the education department and engage visitors on the exhibit floor.
