Job summary

The Delaware Art Museum is seeking a Studio Manager to lead its Studio programs, developing and evaluating classes, camps, workshops, and other learning experiences taught by contracted instructors. The role ensures programs are financially sustainable and aligned with the Museum’s mission and priorities.

You will recruit and supervise a diverse instructor corps, manage budgets, enrollment, and logistics, and collaborate across departments to expand access, engagement, and earned revenue.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in art education, arts administration, studio art, education, or related field.
  • Strong organizational, project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing program budgets and monitoring revenue and expenses.
  • Commitment to welcoming, inclusive and accessible learning environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a dynamic schedule of classes, workshops, camps, and special offerings for youth, adults, and multigenerational audiences.
  • Collaborate across departments to advance access, engagement, and earned revenue and support a cohesive Museum visitor experience.
  • Manage calendars, registration, rosters, room assignments, supplies, and logistics using Altru, the Museum’s Blackbaud database system.
  • Develop systems and procedures that support efficient, safe operations and positive program experiences.
  • Coordinate Studio use with rentals, events, exhibitions, and facility needs.
