Job summary

Right At School in La Grange, IL is seeking a Program Manager to lead a team of Educators, coach staff, ensure safety and licensing compliance, and build strong relationships with families and school partners while delivering high‑quality before/after school programs and camps.

The role focuses on daily operations, activity planning, attendance management, and proactive communication with families and the Area Manager during program hours.

Qualifications

• Experience managing competing priorities while delivering quality service to staff, families, and school partners
• High school diploma or GED completed
• Experience working with children, including those with unique or special needs
• Coursework or training in child development or a related field (preferred)
• Strong oral, written, and visual communication skills with both adults and children
• Familiarity with Google Workspace or willingness to learn
• At least 18 years of age
• Illinois State Requirements: First Aid and CPR, TB clearance, fingerprinting

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Educators, providing coaching, feedback, and day-to-day guidance
• Keep site documentation, licensing standards, and safety and attendance protocols up to date and compliant with state and company standards
• Oversee daily check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accurate attendance records
• Communicate regularly with families, school partners, and Area Manager during program hours
• Plan and oversee daily enrichment curriculum, movement, team games, and independent activity stations
• Address and resolve day-to-day issues or conflicts among staff, students, or families
• Monitor the program environment for safety, addressing hazards and ensuring safety protocols are followed
• Report incidents, injuries, or safety concerns promptly and maintain documentation
