Job summary

New Jersey Institute of Technology seeks a Program Service Coordinator to drive the NJ GEAR UP/College Bound program across multiple sites. You will implement service components, supervise mentors and tutors, and ensure alignment with grant goals and institutional standards.

You will recruit and train staff, analyze student data to boost outcomes, and ensure compliance with state requirements. Strong planning, communication, and stakeholder relations are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, or a related field with 3–5 years of experience.
Experience with precollege programs and applying best practices to deliver services.
Strong management, development, planning, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinating with program Site Directors to recruit, train, assign and supervise mentors, tutors, and teacher assistants.
Assisting in increasing program participation by addressing academic and personal needs of students.
Supervising the reporting of student services and analyzing data to improve outcomes.
Complying with NJOSHE training and curriculum development requirements for mentors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
