Job summary

Amigos de Guadalupe is seeking an Education Coordinator to lead after-school, summer, and scholarship education programs in San Jose, CA. The role collaborates with the Education Manager to advance student success and address opportunity gaps in education.

Responsibilities include program implementation, staff supervision, data collection, and maintaining safe learning environments, with emphasis on 2-Gen family services and radical hospitality.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Common Core Standards.
• Proficiency in balanced literacy, lesson planning, and implementation.
• Strong classroom management skills, including PBIS, Conflict Resolution, and SEL strategies.
• Excellent classroom management within a child-centered program.
• A college degree in education or a related field, or a degree in progress; teaching credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support initiation, implementation, and evaluation of all education programs (after school, summer) and related activities.
• Assist in hiring, supervision, and evaluation of education staff, including full/part-time staff, tutors, and volunteers.
• Maintain safe learning environments and manage equipment/inventory for educational programs.
• Provide case management of educational needs for families served.
• Support data collection, attendance, and pre/post program assessments.
