Job summary

The Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley seeks a Program Director for Greater Good Education (GGE) to lead strategic planning, funding, and partnerships, guiding program design and execution across schools.

You will manage a six-person education team, collaborate with university leadership and funders, and expand GGE offerings such as Greater Good Educators and the new Greater Good Schools initiative.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of the education field, including social-emotional learning and pro-social education.
• Proven experience designing and implementing educational programs in K-12 settings.
• Experience in nonprofit program management and fundraising with foundations.
• Strong grant-writing, reporting, and writing skills.
• Exceptional organizational, leadership, and project-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead short- and long-term strategic planning for Greater Good Education (GGE).
• Oversee funding opportunities, grants, and program budgeting.
• Develop and maintain educational partnerships and initiatives.
• Manage a six-person education team and evaluate program impact.
• Coordinate marketing/communications and alignment with GGSC goals.
