Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking an Education Program Coordinator to organize and manage institutional educational activities, ensure ongoing accreditation compliance, and support program leadership.

You will maintain schedules, coordinate learner activities, recruit instructors, and prepare communications and materials to support a high-quality education program across departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience coordinating educational programs and compliance activities preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor accreditation-related requirements from agencies, boards, and affiliates.
  • Serve as liaison with faculty, administration, and other departments to support program needs.
  • Develop and maintain databases to track activities for the institution, programs, and learners.
  • Coordinate recruitment of preceptors, instructors, and speakers.
  • Organize VSLO and SLOE processes; support letter writers and rotations.
  • Oversee OBGYN elective courses and related educational materials.

SummaryCoordinate department educational program(s) by scheduling events, assembling enrollment and education information, and following compliance guidelines.Primary ResponsibilitiesIndependently execute institutional or program activities (e.g., educational events, training, orientation, schedules, and sims.Maintain proficiency in accreditation, board, and institutional requirements. Coordinate and monitor activities related to these requirements to ensure full compliance.Support the designated institutional official, Program Director, Department Chair, and other leaders on issues related to the requirements from accreditation agencies, national boards, and affiliates.Serve as primary liaison with faculty, administration, other departments, affiliated institutions, and national organizations.Develop and maintain database(s) to track, schedule, and record activities related to the institution, program(s) and learners.Provide information, support, and problem solving on a wide range of issues for leaders, faculty, staff, and learners.Coordinate recruitment of preceptors, instructors, and speakers.Create brochures, flyers, communications, handbooks, and other educational materials.Coordinate assessment and evaluation activities.May monitor program budgets and lead or oversee the work of support staff.Manage third-year medical student clerkship rotations within three blocks throughout academic year – schedules, mentor pairing, communications.Organizes, coordinates, and maintains completion of VSLO. Supports residency program director in completion of their VSLO requirements.Organizes, coordinates, and maintains completion of SLOE. Supports letter writers in completion of SLOE their requirements.Oversee OBGYN elective courses.Knowledge – Skills – AbilitiesKnowledge of technical, business, consultation, project management, and cultural awareness.Customer focus, building trust, communication, critical thinking, and influencing skills.QualificationsAppropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degreeMinimum Required Experience: 3 year’s#LI-SN1Physical RequirementsWork requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously.Work EnvironmentOccasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids.
