Job summary

Oregon Health & Science University in Portland seeks a Program Administrator, Education to support undergraduate programs and regional campuses within the School of Nursing. You will manage finance, HR operations, budgeting, and contract processes in a matrixed leadership environment.

The successful candidate will supervise finance and operations staff, coordinate workload guidelines, and ensure compliance with university policies. Hybrid schedule with in-person campus work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and seven years of progressively responsible program/project management experience
• Master's degree and six years of progressively responsible experience
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and demonstrated experience
• 5-7 years of cumulative experience in academic support, practice support, HR and/or finance positions
• Strong knowledge of administration and operations work
• Strong knowledge of financial processes, including budgeting and variance reporting
• Ability to understand and communicate multiple rules and regulatory practices
• Excellent organizational, prioritization, communication, and training skills
• Analytical and creative thinking, able to work independently and negotiate
• Team-oriented with professional demeanor and customer service orientation

Responsibilities

• Leads day-to-day finance and HR operational support for undergraduate programs, regional campuses, and administrative groups.
• Oversees budgeting processes for assigned programs and campuses, including projections, monitoring, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Reconciles SoN budgets with the Provost's Office and resolves discrepancies with central finance units.
• Coordinates and supports academic program operations to ensure compliance with workload guidelines.
• Supports accreditation and regulatory requirements through documentation and reporting.
• Leads contract administration processes including renewals and coordination of agreements.
• Collaborates with Program Directors and CADs to align workload and contracts.
• Identifies and addresses operational system issues and represents SoN on university committees.
• Develops partnerships with internal/external stakeholders for program and campus operations.
• Advises leadership on labor agreements and supports program compliance.
