Job summary

The Cedar Rapids Community School District seeks a STARS Education Career Pathway Coach for Jefferson High School on a short-term contract. The role supports Educators Rising chapters, coordinates competitions, and mentors students.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of classroom teaching required; four+ years preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
• Alternative qualifications may be acceptable per district policy.

Responsibilities

• Meet with students regularly and oversee the student-led chapter structure.
• Manage EdRising chapter registration and planning for competitions/conferences.
• Develop lesson plans using effective teaching techniques and technology.
• Collaborate with other EdRising chapters in the district and university partners.
• Assess student performance and progress within the program.
• Teach events and foster skills in research, organization, and project development.
• Motivate and support students to continually improve.
