The role combines litigation and advisory work with client development in a collaborative setting. The ideal candidate has a J.D.

Qualifications

• J.D. and New Jersey bar admission.
• 5+ years representing public entities, educational institutions, or similar clients.
• Familiarity with federal and state laws governing special education, accommodations, student rights, and public-sector employment.
• Experience counseling, admin proceedings, and/or litigation matters.
• Excellent writing, advocacy, and client-management skills.
• Collaborative, client-focused environment.
• Interest in business development and long-term practice growth.

Responsibilities

• Counsel public-sector clients on education, employment, and governance matters.
• Handle administrative proceedings, mediations, hearings, and related litigation.
• Advise on student, personnel, compliance, and risk-management issues.
• Draft and review policies, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and provide practical client guidance.
• Develop client relationships and support business development efforts.
