Beacon Hill is partnering with a leading South Jersey law firm to recruit an attorney to join an Education practice representing New Jersey public school districts in special education matters. The attorney will counsel clients on education, employment, and governance issues and handle mediations, hearings, and related litigation.

• Familiarity with federal and state laws governing special education, accommodations, student rights, and public-sector employment.

Responsibilities:

• Counsel public-sector clients on education, employment, and governance matters
• Handle administrative proceedings, mediations, hearings, and related litigation
• Advise on student, personnel, compliance, and risk-management issues
• Draft and review policies, agreements, and other legal documents
• Conduct legal research and provide practical client guidance
• Develop client relationships and support business development efforts

Qualifications:

• J.D. and New Jersey bar admission
• 5+ years of experience representing public entities, educational institutions, or similar clients

• Experience handling counseling, administrative, and/or litigation matters
