Qualifications

• Graduation from a law school of recognized standing.
• Admission to the New York State Bar or pending requirements.

Responsibilities

• Advise departments and School District officials on matters of law affecting the district.
• Defend the district in courts and before state/federal agencies.
• Research, draft, and review legal documents and briefs.
• Prepare witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Provide training on legal implications of education law and student discipline.
