Job summary

Poplarbluffschools is seeking a Computer Technician to ensure effective, educational, and ethical use of technology district-wide. The technician diagnoses hardware and software problems, updates components, and provides user training.

You will manage inventory, support networks, and communicate complex concepts to non-technical staff. A two-year college background in IT and hands-on repair experience are required.

Qualifications

• Two years college coursework in computer science or related field.
• Two years general computer installation, maintenance and repair experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
• Update and maintain hardware and software components.
• Provide technical assistance and training to end-users.
• Inventory and maintain all technology hardware.
• Assist in maintaining wide and local area networks.
• Must be able to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
• Must be able to prioritize duties and complete work orders without direction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
