Job summary

DRS IT Solutions Inc. seeks School Support Field Technicians to be assigned to schools and district locations, under the guidance of the Lead Field Technician and IT Manager to meet operational needs.

The role requires 3+ years of IT field support, A+ certification, strong communication, and hands-on experience with desk-side and break/fix tasks, plus mobile device support (Chromebooks, iPads, macOS, iOS). Familiarity with Incident IQ is a plus.

Qualifications

3+ years of IT field support experience, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
A+ Certification is REQUIRED.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Desk-side and break/fix support experience is required.
Mobile device support experience (Chromebooks, iPads, macOS, iOS) is required.
Understanding of network infrastructure and wireless support.
Familiarity with Incident IQ ticketing system preferred.
Experience in educational environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

Support one or more schools and district locations as assigned.
Collaborate with school leaders, administrative staff, and technology teams to ensure reliable tech support.
Respond to incidents and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
Assist with device deployments, maintenance, and break/fix tasks.
Document issues and resolutions in the ticketing system.
