Local Member Association in New York is seeking an Education & Events Assistant to support the Education & Events Director in planning, organizing, and executing educational programs and events.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Update course outlines with guidance from the Education & Events Director.
  • Verify payments and confirm registration for attendees of all Association courses/events.
  • Send out instructor surveys after each class.
  • Update member Orientation Course Outline and other outlines as defined by the Education & Events Director.
  • Assist with attendance verification and course completion for the Department of State.
  • Set up training rooms for classes and inventory coffee/cookie supplies.
  • Print sign-in sheets from MMSI, set out and collect them after classes.
  • Prepare instructor materials and ensure PowerPoint/Zoom are ready before class.
  • Monitor education classes on Zoom and email course confirmations to attendees.
  • Advise Communications Department about educational/event opportunities under the Education & Events Director.
  • Add Non-Association Code of Ethics class in the MMSI portal.
  • Assist with meeting setup and registration at education events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Education & Events Director and CEO.

POSITION TITLE: Education & Events Assistant

BASIC FUNCTION: Provides support to the Education & Events Director in the planning, organization, and execution of the Association's educational programs, events, and initiatives.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in updating all course outlines with guidance from the Education and Events Director.
  • Responsible for verifying payments and confirming registration for the attendees of all Association courses/events.
  • Responsible for sending out instructor surveys after each class.
  • Responsible for updating the new member Orientation Course Outline and other course outlines defined by the Education & Events Director.
  • Assists in verification of attendance and course completion to the Department of State for all course attendees.
  • Responsible for setting up the training room for classes for all Association educational offerings. This consists of making and putting out coffee and cookies, as well as ensuring the training room is clean and presentable before and after each training class. This includes inventorying the coffee and cookie supply.
  • Responsible for printing the sign-in sheets from the MMSI portal and setting them out for each training class, then retrieving them upon completion of the training class.
  • Responsible for setting out the instructor affirmation form and making sure the PowerPoint presentation and zoom are tested and ready for the instructor prior to class commencement.
  • Responsible for monitoring education classes on zoom and emailing course confirmations to the attendees of all Association courses/events.
  • Advises the Communications Department about all educational/event opportunities, under the direction of the Education & Events Director.
  • Responsible for adding Non-Association Code of Ethics class in the MMSI portal.
  • Assists with meeting set up and registration at Association education events and other programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Education and Events Director and the CEO.
  • Will train on process for Grievance/Mediation/Professional Standards case handling and obtain future certification.
