Black Oak Casino is seeking a dedicated education coordinator to assess participants, develop Individual Progress Plans, and track progress toward educational goals within the tribal community in California.

You will coordinate with schools, parents, and organizations, delivering academic and cultural enrichment, remedial tutoring, and library programming to support student achievement.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current California Teaching Credential or bachelor’s degree in Community Education, Education or related area preferred.
• Five years of experience in the education field or related experience working with youth.
• Must be able to provide instruction and remediation in all subjects.
• Ability to enforce compliance with safety codes, rules, and regulations in all department programs and activities.

Responsabilités

• Assess each participant and develop an IPP with educational goals.
• Maintain student files to track progress toward education goals.
• Be an advocate in coordinating IPPs with schools, essential organizations, parents, and students.
• Develop and provide academic and cultural enrichment activities based on community need.
• Provide remedial work and homework tutoring in a structured environment.
• Develop and maintain library programming to support student achievement.
• Encourage and recruit students for programs, activities, and cultural events.
• Track attendance and outcomes for enrichment programs and social recreation.
• Develop resources and schedules for parents and students; train staff on IPP implementation.
