Job summary

Tuolumne Me-Wuk Tribal Council is seeking an Instructor to support K-12 students with academic, remedial, and cultural enrichment activities under the supervision of the Education Manager. The role emphasizes IPP development, progress tracking, and advocacy with schools and families to promote educational success.

The ideal candidate will have a California teaching credential or relevant education degree, with several years in youth education, and strong organizational and communication skills

Qualifications

• Possession of a current California Teaching Credential or Bachelors Degree in Community Education, Education or related area preferred.
• Five years of experience in the education field or related experience working with youth.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Assess participants and develop Individual Progress Plans (IPP) with educational goals.
• Deliver academic, remedial and cultural enrichment activities.
• Advocate between schools, parents, and youth to support educational success.
• Coordinate IPPs with schools and essential organizations.
