Job summary

The University of Alabama at Birmingham Education Coordinator is responsible for coordinating activities and operations for the educational program(s) of a specific student group, such as medical students, residents or fellows. It involves maintaining records, schedules and program information and performing general program duties for clerkships and training.

Reporting to the Program Manager-SOM Programs and fellowship directors, the EC handles day-to-day administration of fellowship programs,

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience required.
• Work experience may substitute for education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities and operations for the educational program(s) of a specific student group (e.g. medical students, residency programs, fellowship programs).
• Maintain records, schedules and program information.
• Perform general program related duties for incoming, continuing and outgoing clerkships, residents, medical students or fellows.
• Assist with day-to-day administration of fellowship programs and ensure compliance with ACGME standards and UAB regulations.
