Innovative Network of Knowledge in Texas seeks an Early Childhood Education professional to support Head Start programs for children birth to five, including those with disabilities.

You will plan lessons, monitor progress, collaborate with staff and families, and ensure safety and compliance with program policies while fostering positive development. Strong communication in English and Spanish is preferred; travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in early childhood education or related coursework with teaching experience.
• Experience working with children with disabilities.
• Ability to engage families and community partners.

Aufgaben

• Ensure staff, consultants, contractors, and volunteers protect the physical and mental health and safety of our children and no child is left alone or unsupervised while under our care.
• Provide ongoing coaching on and evaluation of effective teaching in an organized learning environment that promotes healthy development and children’s skill growth aligned with the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework.
• Monitor and evaluate the classroom environment and implementation of curricula to provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences and integrate assessment data.
• Monitor compliance with positive adult-child interactions as measured by the CLASS: Pre-K instrument.
• Implement tools that support screenings, assessments, and ongoing evaluation of a child’s developmental level and progress.
• Identify opportunities for parents and family members to engage in their child’s development and program services.
• Follow practices to keep children safe during all activities, including reporting suspected or known child abuse and neglect and supervising children at all times.
• Complete minimum training requirements as specified in state and federal standards.
• Create weekly lesson plans reflecting opportunities for positive interactions and individualized curriculum.
• Schedule regular communication with teaching staff to ensure they are well-informed about children’s routines, activities, behavior, and progress.
