Community Action Corporation of South Texas is seeking a dedicated Head Start teacher to plan and deliver developmentally appropriate learning experiences for preschoolers in a safe, nurturing classroom in Texas. You will encourage parental involvement and coordinate with Family Advocates to support children's education.

The role focuses on implementing structured lesson plans, using the ELOF framework, and maintaining accurate records of attendance, health, and family engagement.

Formación

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in child development, early childhood education or equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education, with experience teaching preschool-age children.
• Transcripts are required to validate educational requirements.
• Experience teaching in a Head Start preschool setting preferred.
• Advanced degree or coursework related to early childhood education.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, document and implement lesson plans with fidelity.
• Promote growth using Head Start ELOF framework and assess children with developmentally appropriate activities.
• Document attendance, health, nutrition, and family engagement in program software.
• Conduct home visits and parent-teacher conferences as required.
• Maintain safe, healthy classroom environments and supervise staff and volunteers.
