Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an Education Certification Evaluator to review educator certification applications, issue certifications, and assist applicants and education partners in Pennsylvania. You will support the Division of Teacher Certification, handle inquiries, and staff the certification call center from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential telework up to four days weekly.

This full-time role requires a year of clerical data-entry experience and knowledge of credential

Qualifications

• One year of clerical experience with three months data entry/retrieval on a computer terminal, and six months experience with educational credential certification laws, rules, and regulations.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Review certification applications and test scores for compliance.
• Approve applications, issue certifications, and request missing information.
• Monitor pending applications in the Teacher Information Management System and communicate with schools.
• Respond to educator inquiries and guide them through the certification process.
• Staff the Certification Call Center to provide information and assistance.
• Help users navigate PDE systems and support problem resolution.
