Job summary

ICGC Social Services in the Greater Cincinnati area is seeking an Education & Career Coach to provide individualized coaching, mentoring, career guidance, and resource navigation to job seekers and young adults from low-income families. The role works across two tracks—Success@Work and Success@School—helping participants gain employment or pursue college, training, or apprenticeships.

The position is part-time 25 hours weekly, in-office with travel as approved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social services-related field is required.
• 2 years of experience in social services.
• Financial or Life Coaching certification is a plus.
• Bilingual preferred (Arabic, Fulani, French, etc)

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to identify interests, skills, strengths, and barriers.
• Help participants set life and career goals and research options.
• Enroll and manage candidates in Success@Work or Success@School.
• Assist with job readiness training and job search activities.
• Support resumes, applications, interviews, and onboarding.
• Provide post-placement support for employment retention.
• Facilitate financial assistance for short-term needs.
• Provide financial coaching to budget, save, and build wealth.
• Remove barriers to employment such as transportation or childcare.
• Guide participants toward higher education or training programs.
• Track academic progress with monthly check-ins.
• Advocate for needed services and cost-effective interventions.
• Develop partnerships with local schools, employers
• Support job development with local employers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
