Job summary

Ashland Public Schools is seeking an Education Assistant-ELD Services to support instructional staff in the Student Services Department. This 0.875 FTE position involves classroom assistance, records, translations, and collaboration with teachers and families on English language development initiatives.

The Education Assistant will work directly with students with diverse needs across multiple sites, provide small-group support, monitor progress, and help with supervision and clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting teachers and providing instructional support.
• Ability to maintain records, attendance, and data entry accurately.
• Ability to supervise students and support diverse learner needs.
• Experience translating or interpreting for students and families is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with students with a variety of needs at multiple school sites.
• Implement planned activities using teacher-designed methods and materials for instructional support.
• Assist students in using computer software and testing programs.
• Test and evaluate students' abilities and track progress as directed by the teacher.
• Monitor and assist students in the classroom, on the playground, and during meals and bus duty.
