Job summary

Seattle Rep is seeking an Education & Community Programs Coordinator to support innovative arts education programs rooted in equity and accessibility. The role focuses on Youth and school programming, ensuring smooth operations and strong community relationships.

Responsibilities include program administration, education programming, and community engagement, with emphasis on collaboration across departments to meet learner needs for a diverse audience in a hybrid Seattle setting.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in arts education, community programs, or nonprofit administration.
  • Strong commitment to access, equity, and supporting diverse learners.
  • Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple timelines and pivot quickly.
  • Comfort with scheduling tools and databases (e.g. Tessitura)
  • Experience working with youth and/or educators.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics for Rep Studios, including bus schedules, ticketing, and educator communications for Student Matinees.
  • Prepare and disseminate Youth Guide curriculum and classroom resources; coordinate in-school workshops.
  • Plan and logistics for Rep Studios: Young Rep classes, camps, and NNMC.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Teaching Artists.
  • Support workshops, community classes, and adult education opportunities through Studios: Rep Pro and Rep Connect.
  • Maintain program records, databases, and calendars; assist with budgeting and reporting; handle communications with students, families, educators, and partners.

Education and Community Programs Coordinator

Work Location: Seattle Rep and Hybrid Schedule Possible

FLSA Classification: Full-Time/Hourly/Non-Exempt

Pay Range: $23.01 - $25.12 per hour

ABOUT THE POSITION

Seattle Rep seeks a passionate, organized, and collaborative Education & Community Programs Coordinator to support the implementation and administration of innovative arts education programs rooted in equity, access, and sustainability. This role will lead coordination efforts for Young Rep and Rep Educators programming focused on youth, families, and schools. They will provide additional support where needed for Education & Community programs.
Our programs are designed as a continuum of learning庸rom first-time audience members in school matinees to young artists in training, to working professionals and lifelong learners. The Coordinator will play a key role in supporting this learner journey, ensuring smooth operations, clear communication, and thoughtful relationship-building at every stage.

Typical Duties Include:

Program Administration & Support (60%)

Education Programming

Coordinate logistics for Rep Studios: Rep Educators, including bus schedules, ticketing, and educator communications related to Student Matinees. Assist in preparation and dissemination of Youth Guide curriculum and classroom resources. Coordinate in school Workshops.

Coordinate planning and logistics for Rep Studios: Young Rep classes, camps, and Next Narrative Monologue Competition (NNMC).

Build and maintain relationships with Teaching Artists.

Support workshops, community classes, and adult education opportunities through Studios: Rep Pro and Rep Connect.

Community Engagement (15%)

Support implementation of programs designed to engage community partners and non-traditional theatergoers.

Coordinate logistical needs for community events, talkbacks, panel discussions, and affinity group nights.

Serve as an education and engagement liaison to schools, educators, families, and community organizations.

Administrative & Operational Support (25%)

Maintain updated program records, databases, and calendars

Support department budgeting, invoice tracking, and reporting

Handle email and phone communications with students, families, educators, and partners

Collaborate with other departments (Production, Marketing, Development) to align program needs and messaging

Minimum Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in arts education, community programs, or nonprofit administration

Deep commitment to access, equity, and supporting diverse learners

Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)

Ability to manage multiple timelines and pivot quickly

Comfort with scheduling tools, Microsoft Suite, and databases (i.e. Tessitura)

Experience working with youth and/or educators

Bilingual or multilingual skills a plus
