ABOUT THE POSITION

Seattle Rep is seeking Education Support People to support Young Rep (students aged 13-20) and Rep Pro (students 18+) classes and events. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and candidates are reviewed and offered assignments as program needs arise. Assignment offers are dependent on program demand, scheduling needs, individual expertise, and availability.

Education Support ensures that operations run smoothly during classes and events. This may include tasks like taking attendance, maintaining instructional spaces, helping students/guests navigate the building, and participating in classes/events as needed.

This is a contract position and not considered staff.

Typical Duties Include
  • Complete tasks including taking attendance, maintaining instructional spaces, helping students/guests navigate the building, and participating in classes/events as needed
  • Adapt as needed based on communication with teaching artists and program staff
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with fellow teaching artists, education support people, and program staff
  • Build and maintain positive rapport with students/guests
  • Collaborate with Education & Community Programs department staff to support program delivery and alignment

Minimum Qualifications

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with students aged 13-20 and/or adult students
  • Experience working in the Seattle theatre community and/or theatre communities in other locations
  • CPR/First Aid certification

PLEASE NOTE

Classes and events occur at or near Seattle Rep (155 Mercer St, Seattle, WA 98109).

Education Support People are required to get to and from Seattle Rep independently. Parking passes to the Mercer Street Garage are available for purchase.

Education Support People will be offered assignments on a case‑by‑case basis and will always have the opportunity to accept or reject assignments.

Most classes occur on or same day of the week if they repeat. Education Support People may be offered assignments of different lengths (for example: one‑time classes, multi‑week classes, day‑long events, Young Rep Night events).

Most Rep Pro classes occur on weekday evenings, most Young Rep classes occur on weekend mornings and afternoons, Young Rep Nights occur on Friday evenings.
