Job summary

Golden Nugget Laughlin is seeking a dedicated line cook to prepare and cook food at all stations in our kitchen, following recipes and upholding quality standards.

You will work in the Employee Dining Room, reading menus, using knives and kitchen equipment safely, and delivering consistent dishes while maintaining a clean, organized workspace. This tipped position does not earn tips, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Requires 1 year culinary experience in buffet and line cooking.
• Ability to operate and use all kitchen equipment.
• Communicate clearly and efficiently.
• Ability to use knives to slice and cut food.
• Thorough understanding of menu items and their preparation and presentation.
• Work involves heat and fumes; maintain a neat, clean and safe working environment.
• Requires good people skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food for Employee Dining Room.
• Must adhere to policies, procedures and Health Regulations using proper food handling techniques.
• Must work rapidly in an efficient manner.
• Superior organizational skills required.
• Assist in maintaining a neat, clean and safe working environment.
• Turnover/takeover station according to established procedures.
• Other duties and responsibilities as requested.
